The short version

The app asks for no name, no email address and no phone number. You may play all of it without signing in to anything, and if you do not sign in, your progress and scores stay on your device. Four things leave it and nothing else: what the ad networks need in order to show the videos you choose to watch, what Google's Firebase services need in order to measure usage and send the app its settings, a message you choose to send us from the Contact screen, and — only if you sign in to Game Center or Google Play Games — your saved game and your scores, which go to Apple or Google rather than to us.

What stays on your device

  • Your best score in each game, your coins, and any in-run upgrades you bought.
  • Your settings: language, sound and music.
  • Whether you have purchased Instant Rewards.
  • The birth year you gave on the age screen. It decides which ad settings are used, and it is never given to an ad network: they are told only whether to treat you as a child or as under the age of consent, never your age.

This data is deleted when you uninstall the app, and none of it is uploaded to a server of ours.

If you sign in to Game Center or Google Play Games, a copy of this saved game is kept in your own Apple or Google account so that a new device can continue where the last one stopped. That copy is stored by Apple or Google under your account, not by us, and we cannot read it. It is the whole saved game, which includes the birth year above. If you would rather it did not leave your device, do not sign in — nothing in the app requires it.

What other services collect

The app uses the services below. Each collects data under its own company's policy:

  • Google AdMob — one of the two ad networks. It may use your device's advertising ID, IP address and basic device data to select and measure ads and to prevent fraud.
  • Unity Ads and ironSource Ads, run by Unity Technologies and reached through Unity LevelPlay — the other ad network. They may collect, for example, your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers, your IP address (from which they work out your approximate location, such as your country or city), device data such as model, language and connection type, and how you interact with the ads they show, to select and measure ads and to prevent fraud. ironSource is part of Unity, and both are covered by Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics for Firebase — to see which screens are actually used and which game deserves more work. The figures are aggregated and do not identify you.
  • Firebase Remote Config — downloads a small set of app settings from Google, such as which ad network to ask first in your country. To do that it uses the Firebase installation ID, a random identifier for this install of the app, and your IP address to tell which country's settings apply.
  • Google Cloud Firestore — where a message you send from the Contact screen, and a star rating, are stored. The next section says exactly what that means.
  • Google Play Billing / the App Store — to complete and verify the Instant Rewards purchase. We never see your card details; they stay with Google or Apple.
  • Apple Game Center and Google Play Games — only if you choose to sign in. They hold your saved game and your leaderboard scores under your own Apple or Google account, and they decide what your fellow players see: typically the nickname you have set with Apple or Google, next to your score. We never receive your Apple ID or your Google account, your real name or your email address — only an identifier that Apple or Google gives us for you, which means nothing outside this app.

Messages you send us

If you use the Contact screen inside the app, or rate a game with stars, that is the one thing that leaves your device for a server of ours.

A message carries: what you wrote, the topic you picked, the app version, the platform (Android or iOS), your interface language, and a code shaped like ARC-XXXX-XXXX that the app generates at random on your device the first time it needs one. That code is not your advertising ID, is not tied to any account, and cannot identify you outside the app. It exists so your messages can be grouped together, and so the app can show you where your request has got to.

A star rating carries less than that: the game, the number of stars, the app version and the language — with no code at all.

Nothing else is attached. No name, no email address, no phone number, no location, no device identifier.

We keep messages for as long as the app is supported, because a request written a year ago is still a request. To have yours deleted, see deleting your data.

Signing in, saved games and leaderboards

The app can sign in to Apple Game Center on iOS or Google Play Games on Android. This is entirely optional. Every game, every unlock and every feature works without it, and declining costs you nothing but the two things below.

  • Your saved game syncs. A copy goes to your own Apple or Google account, so a new phone continues where the old one stopped. It is stored by them, under your account, and we cannot read it.
  • Your best scores appear on leaderboards. There are thirteen, one per game and difficulty. A score is sent with the identifier Apple or Google gives us for you; what other players see beside it is the nickname you have set with Apple or Google, never anything you typed into this app.

Signing in is not offered to anyone under 13. The app does not ask, and makes no sign-in call at all, until the age screen has been answered with 13 or over — and an unanswered age counts as under 13, the same rule the ad settings use. A younger player gets the whole game, on their device, with no account of any kind.

You can sign out at any time from the Settings screen. Signing out stops the syncing; to remove the copy already held, use your Apple or Google account settings, since it is theirs and not ours: on iOS under Settings ▸ Game Center, and on Android in the Play Games app under Settings ▸ Delete Play Games account & data.

Ads, and your control over them

  • The only ads in the app are rewarded videos, and one plays only when you tap a button offering it in exchange for something in the game, such as a continue or a hint. There is no ad between rounds, none during play and none when the app opens.
  • Each video comes from one of the two networks above. Which one is asked first depends on your country, and is a setting we choose.
  • Every ad in the app is rated for general audiences, on every device, for every player.
  • In the EU, the UK and Switzerland you are shown a consent screen before any personalised ad, and you may decline. Your answer applies to both networks.
  • You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time from your system settings: on Android under Settings ▸ Google ▸ Ads, on iOS under Settings ▸ Privacy ▸ Tracking.
  • Unity's ads carry a small privacy icon. Tapping it shows what Unity holds about you and lets you opt out of personalised ads from Unity. In US states with privacy laws, Unity's Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page does the same.
  • Buying Instant Rewards gives you every reward straight away, with no video, including in every game added later. Once you own it, the app does not start either ad network at all.

Children

The app is built to be safe for a general audience, and asks a neutral age question the first time it runs. Until it is answered, no ad network is started at all. Every AdMob request, for every player on every device, is made with a maximum content rating of G — suitable for everyone — and Unity's ads are held to the same audience. If the answer indicates an age under 13, or the question is left unanswered, both networks are told to treat the player as a child: personalisation and interest-based targeting are off, the advertising ID is not used, and the ads shown are contextual — chosen from the app they appear in, not from anything about the player. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, a player under 16 is never shown the consent screen and gets no personalised ads. The Contact screen refuses any message containing an email address, phone number or link, so a way to reach the sender cannot be sent even by accident.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child: there is no account, no profile, and no field anywhere in the app in which to type a name. If you believe a child has sent us something that identifies them, write to support@codeator.ai and we will delete it.

Your rights

Everything about your play — scores, coins, settings, what you have unlocked — lives on your device, so uninstalling the app deletes it. If you signed in to Game Center or Google Play Games, the copy held in your Apple or Google account outlives the uninstall; the section above says how to remove it.

The one thing we hold is the messages and ratings described above. Ask at support@codeator.ai and we will delete yours; include the code shown on the "Your messages" screen inside the app, because that code is the only way to find them. The full route is on deleting your data. For data held by Google, see policies.google.com/privacy; for data held by Unity and ironSource, use the privacy icon in a Unity ad or write to dpo@unity3d.com.

Codeator Arcade — dev.codeator.arcade

  • Google Analytics for Firebase —
  • Google Cloud Firestore —
  • Google Play Billing / App Store —

Settings ▸ Privacy ▸ Tracking.
Unity Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information الغرض نفسه.
